Today we worked on writing our first and last names.  We are excited to welcome Boston into our Tuesday/Thursday class.  He will start the day of our party February 13.  I will send a email with the class names for our class valentine exchange.

We will have some surprises in the room next week.  We will have a post office and a store for community helper month.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the Open House on February 13 from 4-7pm.  It is great that all of you have signed up for the PK4 AM class.  You may come and see the decorations we have been making in our room and visit Mrs. Daniels.  You can also visit  the other classes if you would like too.

Have a great weekend

Finger painting in class today.  We can't decide if the mess we make or the picture is the best part.

We had chapel today with Dr. McLaughlin leading since Pastor is at Concordia Seminary working on his Doctor of Ministry.  He will be back next week for chapel.

We will be singing at that chapel if you can make it at 9:00am to watch that would be great.  I will record the song and post it.

I am working on our calendar for February and newsletter.

Pretzel Day Auntie Anne's Field trip. We had a great time learning about the history of pretzels and making pretzel shapes with dough.  They brought us hot pretzels from the store with lemonade.  Fun had by all.

Auntie Anne's Field Trip

This best field trip the pretzels came to us.  We learned about the history of the pretzel watching a video in Mrs. Daniels room.  We came back to our room and we played with dough making our own pretzel shapes.

Then the best part we got to eat a pretzel for snack.  I think everyone had a great time.

If you read "If you give a Pig a Pancake"  You must serve pancakes for snack.  They loved the book "If you give a pig a  pancake"  We read the book and talked about everything that happened in the book.  This is great practice for ready comprehension they remembered the different things that happened and retained that memory of the story.

Thank you to Mrs. Thomas (Maleah's mom for helping out during our snack time)

We did a lot of listening exercises today we also played pass the bean bag.  They listened to music as it went faster the bean bag was passed faster etc.  This is also is great listening exercise.

Have a  great weekend

Hopefully we will see everyone next week
